These terms and conditions apply to any Gallery Informal exhibition we host on our website. Please read this before applying and understand that you may be required to pay for this opportunity (see fees section).
1. Fees
- Fees will only be applied after your third artwork uploaded. Otherwise, it is a free opportunity. After the third artwork you will need to pay £2.50 for each artwork (does not include the first three).
- If we ask for this payment, you cannot dispute it as you are required to read these terms before pressing submit and you must check the box before it will let you submit.
2. Acceptance
- Participants must acknowledge that they are subjected to these terms and conditions.
- The META SPACE GALLERY encourages experimentation and inexperienced artists to apply- but we will not discriminate against an artist’s professional status and will review submissions without bias.
- Acceptance to the exhibition will be decided based on the artwork’s resolution (please make sure that image files are high resolution). The description of the submission and your artist statement should be sufficiently long enough to describe the artwork to a viewer and your practice. Please also describe if your artwork was rejected, where it was rejected at.
- The applicant acknowledges that the decision by the META SPACE GALLERY reviews submissions by application date, so earlier submissions will be more likely to be accepted. People are listed on the exhibition in the order of their submission time.
- Applicants are expected to have researched our exhibitions in the past and understand how we work and how we promote the work for the exhibition. You can research this by exploring our Instagram account and browsing the website.
- If you dispute the ways in which we promote your work, we can remove you from the exhibition. You are expected to have researched this before applying.
Ownership
- Participants do not cede their copyrights to the META SPACE GALLERY but give their permission for the META SPACE GALLERY to showcase their work through their official social media accounts and the gallery website. Therefore, The submitted work is still the copyright/property of the participant, and the META SPACE GALLERY does not claim ownership.
- The META SPACE GALLERY reserves the right to display the artists’ work and some or all of the content on the website and its socials.
- We also reserve the right to remove your artwork and pages at any given time if you breach these terms and conditions. This is non-refundable if you have been showed in any capacity on our website after the exhibition has started.
