These terms and conditions apply to the META SPACE ARTIST WEB STORE. Please read these before entering your work into the webstore.
Listing
- Artists must acknowledge that the maximum amount of listings on the main webstore page is 50. Artworks then will be categorised based on their genre (abstract, realism, etc.) and the exhibition that they where showcased in (i.e. 2024 Show, Supercontemporary or Contrast Issue x).
- Artists must acknowledge that we may take down listings at any given time if they breach the terms and conditions supplied in the publication terms (see here) or the general Meta Space Gallery terms and conditions (see here).
Commission Fee
- Commission Fees are at a flat 10% currently and are subject to rise in the future (we will add the commission fee automatically to listings that are handled through us so the artist will not lose any money if the work is sold).
- Artists can choose whether they want us to handle the sale of their artwork which in that case we will add an extra 10% to the price that the artist is selling their work which is a cut taken by the gallery. We will then send the rest of the money to the artist who is then responsible for the shipping and delivery of the artwork to the buyer.
- If an artist does not ship or deliver the artwork after being paid – they are responsible for any liabilities and we will take legal action to ensure the buyer receives the item they purchased.
- Artworks with a commission fee will be promoted more often through our social media and we will request permission from the artist for us to create virtual exhibitions to showcase to potential buyers. These exhibitions will only use artwork which has a commission fee through our web store.
- Artists may choose to handle their own sales through our website and circumvent the commission fee if they choose for us to link to their website on the artwork in the listing rather than our own page.
Ownership
- You retain the right to request a takedown of an artwork from the webstore (and this extends to any exhibition we host). However you agree that you will not be able to remove the artwork from a publication that has already been printed and published.
- We do not claim ownership over any artwork shown in the webstore. However you give us the right to use the images on the webstore.
